For the UK Bitcoin community

Small honest cPanel hosting. Priced in pounds, paid in sats.

Proper cPanel hosting on a London server, run by one person from the UK Bitcoin community. SSH and Git on every plan, email on your own domain, free SSL, daily backups. Pay over Lightning or on-chain. Your domain stays yours. No lock-in, no upsells, no venture capital.

Run it yourself, or have me help. If you’d like a hand moving a site over or getting DNS and mail right, that’s included at no extra charge.

If you'd like a hand

Moving a site over? I'll help, and it's included.

Plenty of people will just get on with it, and that's fine. But if you've got a site somewhere else, I'll move it for you: files, database, mail. I'll point the DNS with you and get HTTPS working. No extra charge, on any plan.

  • Files, database, mailboxes and cron, with a full backup taken first
  • Starting fresh instead? I'll make sure mail and SSL work first time
  • DNS changed with you, at your own registrar
  • HTTPS working before I call it done
  • A rollback if a move goes wrong, and I tell you either way

What I won’t promise

For a move I won't promise zero downtime, and some sites are stranger than others. If you think yours might be awkward, email me before ordering and I'll tell you honestly. If it turns out not to be movable, you get a full refund.

Starting from scratch is the easy case and usually same-day. A site that’s been running quietly for three years is normally about an hour; one with a custom theme and a mail server bolted on is not. Ask first — it costs nothing to find out.

Pricing

Three plans. No surprises at renewal.

Every plan is a full cPanel account with SSH and Git, email on your own domain, and free SSL. Help moving a site over is included too, if you want it. Annual billing gives you two months free. Cancel whenever — you'll get a full backup and help moving on.

Hosting only — your domain stays at your registrar. I’ll show you how.

Optional

“Looked after” — £5/month on any plan.

Optional. I keep WordPress patched and the site working, so you don't have to think about it.

What’s included

  • WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, checked monthly
  • If an update breaks the site, I roll it back and tell you
  • One restore from backup a month, if you need it
  • DNS and mail record changes on request
  • SSL and mail problems chased down

What isn’t

  • Design, layout, content or copywriting
  • Building new features, or adding new sites
  • Debugging custom or third-party code beyond rolling it back
  • Paid plugin licences, and anything needing a developer
  • SEO and marketing

Available on any plan, including Starter — a single site you’d rather not think about is exactly the one most likely to want it. £50/year if you’d rather pay annually. Tick the box when you order and it’s part of the same subscription — one invoice, renewing with your hosting. Drop it whenever you like.

What's included

On every plan, including the cheapest one.

None of this is an upsell, and none of it depends on which plan you pick.

cPanel, SSH and Git

The standard tools, on every plan including the cheapest. Deploy by pushing, or use the file manager. Nothing bespoke to learn, nothing you can't take with you.

Email on your own domain

Mailboxes on your domain, with SPF and DKIM records ready to use — set up for you if you use my nameservers, or the records to add if you keep your DNS elsewhere — so what you send actually arrives.

Someone who answers

One email address, same working day, UK hours. No ticket queue, no offshore first line, and no explaining what a Lightning invoice is.

Free SSL, issued and renewed

Let's Encrypt certificates, automatic. Nothing to remember to renew.

Daily backups

Taken daily by the platform, off the server your site runs on, and restorable on request — and I'll still tell you to keep your own.

You can leave whenever

Full backup, help repointing your DNS, no exit fee. Your domain was always yours — it never comes near me.

How it works

Three steps.

Payment is instant. I create your account by hand, usually within a few hours.

  1. 01

    Choose a plan

Monthly or annual. Prices are in pounds; you pay the total in bitcoin — Lightning or on-chain, whichever suits you. Monthly exists so you can try me without committing a year. On the order form, say whether you're starting fresh or moving a site.

  2. 02

    Pay in sats

You get a bitcoin invoice straight away. Once it's paid you'll get a receipt by email.

  3. 03

    I create your account

I set up your cPanel account and email you the login details and the DNS settings. From there it's yours: build it yourself, or ask me for a hand with a move, mail or DNS.

Straight answers

What this isn't.

Worth saying up front, so nobody signs up expecting something else.

It's one person, and I'm not pretending otherwise.

Support is same working day, UK hours, by email. I won't claim 24/7. If I'm away the sites stay up — they're on a proper platform with its own staff — tickets wait, and you can still leave the same day with a full backup in your hand.

Announcements to a big member list need a different tool.

Shared hosting won't send to 300 people, here or anywhere else. Normal mail is included; if you've got an announcement or newsletter list I'll set you up on a free Buttondown or Mailchimp tier with the right SPF and DKIM records, as part of the move. Better to say this now than after you've paid.

I don't sell domains.

Register yours at Porkbun or Cloudflare and keep control of it. I publish guides and will happily walk you through it — I just won't hold the asset.

No mining, exchanges or financial services.

This is for websites — personal sites, projects, businesses, meetups, events, education. Anything that would get the platform suspended isn't welcome, for everyone else's sake.

It's small, and that's the point.

This exists to cover its own costs and be genuinely useful to a community I'm part of. It isn't trying to become a hosting empire — but it is built to last.

The specs

What's underneath.

Plenty of customers run their own things. Nothing here is locked away behind a higher plan.

  • cPanel and WHM — nothing bespoke to learn, nothing you can't take with you
  • SSH and Git on every account, including the cheapest one
  • Deploy by pushing, not by dragging files into an FTP client
  • Free Let's Encrypt SSL, issued and renewed automatically
  • NVMe storage on a London server, with daily backups
  • Your own nameservers if you want them, or just an A record

Ready when you are.

Pick a plan and order in a couple of minutes. Got a site to move, or a question first? Email me and I’ll tell you what’s involved.
